If a renter has entered a credit card for a booking, then all future payments can be deducted automatically from that card.
Another option is for the renter to receive an email notification with a link at the time the next payment is due, at which point the renter will be directed to make the payment manually (just pushing a button to charge the card).
The account setting for controlling whether payments are collected automatically can be found and managed through booking policies: Setup > Booking & Payments > Booking Policies > Basic Settings.
Things to know
- If a payment schedule exists when a new credit card is entered, the currently scheduled payments will still go through the former credit card, even if the card has been disabled in our system. Users will need to manually update the credit card for all currently scheduled future payments from the Actions menu next to the scheduled payment.
