Sometimes a charge may need to be added that is not part of a booking policy. You're able to issue a one-off charge from your Reservation view to collect money when you have the guest's credit card information.
Note: If the reservation came from a channel where MyVR is not the merchant of record (ex. Airbnb or TripAdvisor), you have the option to pursue the one-off charge in MyVR, or to do it directly on the channel.
To make a one time (one-off) charge:
Step 1: Open the reservation detail view
Step 2: Go to Actions and select One Off Charge from the drop-down menu.
Step 3A: If the credit card details are already stored in MyVR, select the card to charge, click Charge Card to complete the one-off charge.
Step 3B: If the reservation does not have credit card details stored (ex. Airbnb & TripAdvisor), you'll be prompted to enter the credit card information from the guest once you click One Off Charge. Once you've added the credit card details, repeat step 3A above.
Alternative Options for Airbnb & TripAdvisor
Airbnb & TripAdvisor both stay the merchant of record (meaning MyVR doesn't process payments) even when you fully integrate with these channels. This means you are still able to pursue additional charges directly from those channels even when integrated with MyVR.
