MyVR is able to help syndicate MyVR Property data to official channel partners like Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, and TripAdvisor.
In MyVR there is a single entry for each property. For each property, we permit one "Channel Listing" per channel. A channel listing in MyVR represents a connection between the MyVR property and an advertisement on a listing site.
When a Channel Listing is first created for a property it is new and as actions are taken to set up or take down the listing, the status will change.
Each channel has different minimum requirements for content to sync successfully.
New listing
This is the status of a brand new Channel Listing. When a listing is in the new state, ensure that all health checks are passing and that availability is up to date. In the case that there is a subscription fee associated with a listing, that will also be collected before transitioning from new to in progress.
Listing in progress
The listing is in the process of being set up. Depending on the channel, there may be steps needed in the channel dashboard while the listing is in progress. For example, you may need to pay for a subscription with the channel, or set up a mapping on the channel dashboard. Here are some things to check if the listing is in progress with each channel:
- Airbnb Listing Setup
- Booking.com Listing Setup
- FlipKey / TripAdvisor Listing Setup
- Vrbo Listing Setup
A listing can transition out of the "in progress" state as soon as MyVR has successfully checked that the listing is discoverable and bookable at the URL provided by the channel partner.
Listing active
The listing is live and can be booked on this channel. If the listing is in the active state, that means that all validations are passing, the most recent syncs were successful and the last time MyVR checked the listing it was discoverable and bookable by guests.
Listing rejected
This listing was rejected by the channel. Depending on the requirements of the channel, a listing may be rejected. On Airbnb for example, if a listing is in a restricted region, it may be rejected. The reason the listing was rejected is listed on the listing details view in your MyVR account. Some listings can be re-submitted for review after being rejected.
Paused listing
This listing has been unpublished and removed from search results at the channel per your request. Pausing a listing is used to temporarily unpublish a listing, but continue syncing. A listing may be unpaused from the listing actions in MyVR.
Canceled listing
This listing has been canceled at your request. Once a listing has been canceled, it is removed from search results and syncing stops and the property becomes available for setup as a new different listing on the channel.
Possible issues
A recent sync failed, so some of the listing's information may be out of date. MyVR will attempt to sync again shortly and no action is required on your behalf. MyVR was able to detect that the listing is live and bookable.
Maybe offline
MyVR has been unable to automatically check the listing at the URL provided by the channel, we'll try again shortly. No action is required on your behalf. This could be for a number of reasons. It's possible the listing was unpublished from the channel dashboard, the channel account may not be in good standing. If the channel changes the look and feel of the advertisement, automatic checks may fail. The first thing to do if the listing shows as maybe offline is to try to visit the live listing URL. If that does not bring up the listing, check the channel dashboard to see if there are any notifications. Finally, if none of those provide clues to solving the issue, contact support at the channel to ask why the listing at the given URL is not published.
Listing sync failed
MyVR detected an error in a recent sync between MyVR and the channel. Additionally, MyVR was unable to successfully check that the listing is discoverable and bookable by guests.
Validation warnings
Validation Warnings mean that, while the property data does not meet the recommended, MyVR was still able to automatically check that the listing is discoverable and bookable by guests.
Validation errors
An error was detected when confirming that the MyVR property data meets the minimum requirements for syncing to a channel partner.
