Users can import property data from Airbnb to avoid building new properties in MyVR. All you need is the Airbnb account credentials.
Imported property data from Airbnb brings in a lot of key information, but the listing profile shouldn't be considered complete after this step. We always recommend that you review all imported content with a fine-tooth comb. There will be new fields you can fill out in MyVR that translate to information shared on other channels.
(Ex; Airbnb doesn't require property square footage, but Booking.com does. Therefore you'll want to add Square Feet, located in the Content section, to your listing profile. Additionally, because Airbnb may or may not collect and remit taxes for you, the tax amounts may not pull in as a required fee in MyVR. You would want to add Taxes as a fee to be collected for your listing when users book directly through your website or through other channels)
To import property data from Airbnb
Step 1: Go to Properties > Properties
Step 2: On the property page, go to the dropdown arrow in the right-hand corner and select "Import from Channel"
Step 3: Click Airbnb, and put in your account's login credentials
Step 4: Wait for the property details to load (30+ seconds depending on how much inventory you have)
Step 5: Choose to import all properties or just individual ones
Step 6: Click Import Selected. New properties will show on the property page. Users will need to activate the properties to be able to integrate them.
You can repeat this process with other properties in different Airbnb accounts that you manage. Once you have a complete listing profile, you can install any of the channel apps and create an integrated listing for those channels.
