Using custom fields on a multi-page website

In this example, we are adding an embedded video on a property page to a multi-page website. 

Users will need to create a custom field for each property, and then add the video HTML to the custom field. 

Once the custom fields have been added to the property, users can open the website editor and edit the property detail template. Because the property detail page is a template, it will always display the same information for each page. Simply drag in the "custom field" widget, select the custom field that has been set up for each property, and it will then show the relevant and correct video for the associated property on each property detail page.

Step 1: Create a new custom field under Setup > Custom Fields

For data type select Large Text/HTML - Don't worry about adding any HTML at this stage as we will do that under the property. Click the Save button.

Ste​p 2: ​Go to the properties list, select the property the video needs to added for, and go to Custom Fields > Property Video and click Edit

Step 3: Click the HTML Source button, and paste a video HTML, and hit the Save button.

Step 4:  Go to your website > Page & Content > From property page section choose "Layout editor." Select the page you would like to edit. 

Step 5: Then drag in the "custom field" widget and select the new custom field "Property Video."

 

Repeat steps #2 - 5 for each video that needs to be posted on a property.
