Job templates can be used to create job settings for automated and manually created jobs. Jobs that inherit settings from a job template can be updated individually.
Within the MyVR account, job templates can be found under Operations > Cleaners & Mx > Automation > Job Templates

Creating a job template
- Navigate to Operations > Cleaners & Mx > Automation > Job Templates
- In the job templates section, select New Job Template from the header navigation
- Fill out the Basics tab:
- Job type
- Job name
- Job associationNote: Currently only job templates associated with reservations are supported
- Continue to the Job Details tab
- Input a job description and tasks (optional):
- Job description is a good place for common data needed for a job template
- Custom fields are available for the description allowing for a template to be used for jobs at multiple properties
- Tasks should be actions that a worker can complete, a worker will be able to check tasks off in the worker mobile view
- Continue to the Job Assignment tab
- Select worker(s) (optional):
- Each worker selected will be assigned all jobs created with that job template
- More than one worker can be selected, if more than one worker is selected they will both be assigned to jobs created by that template
- Workers can be updated on a per job basis
- In the dropdown next to the assigned worker, the worker’s status can be updated or the worker can be removed.
- Continue to the Job Schedule tab
- Select if jobs using this template will block the calendar
- Click the Create job template button
The job template will now be visible in the job template list view and available for use in automation and jobs.
Editing a job template
- Navigate to Operations > Cleaners & Mx > Automation > Job Templates
- In the job templates section next to each job template, from the dropdown menu, select Edit template
- Make desired changes within the job template modal
- Click the Save job template button
Copying a job template
- Navigate to Operations > Cleaners & Mx > Automation > Job Templates
- In the job templates section next to each job template, from the dropdown menu, select Copy template
- In the job template modal, update the job template name to be unique and make any other desired changes
- Click the Save job template button
Deleting a job template
- Navigate to Operations > Cleaners & Mx > Automation > Job Templates
- In the job templates section next to each job template, from the dropdown menu, select Delete template
- A box will pop up asking to verify deleting the template; click Delete Template
The template will be removed from the list of available job templates.
Note: If a template is used by a rule for job automation, the rule will also be deleted and it will no longer automatically create jobs for that rule.
