NOTE:
- Assurant is the claims processor
- You can initiate the filing of a claim with Assurant from within your MyVR account
- The Assurant processing team will handle the entire claims process and communicate with you directly
File a Damage Protection claim with Assurant
Step 1: Navigate to Apps > Installed > Damage Protection by Assurant
Step 2: Navigate to Claims, click Start New Claim
Step 3: Select reservation from drop down menu, click Next Step
Step 4: Click to acknowledge coverage details, click Next Step
-- NOTE option to download or print coverage details
Step 5: Fill out claim details, click Create Claim (or Save Draft)
NOTE:
- MyVR submits claim directly to Assurant
- MyVR will email confirmation to you that claim was submitted and provide contact information for Assurant
- Assurant will email you directly to follow up and resolve claim. Expected response time is about one week after claim submission.
- Claim will appear in Claims list with current status
