NOTE:
- Use unit allocation plans to control allocation of Units for Unit-Type reservations.
- Create one or more allocation plans to be used among Unit-Types.
- Allocation plans are optional.
- If no new allocation plans are created and assigned, the default plan is in effect.
- Default allocation plan based on system settings already in place to manage Unit-Type inventory.
Create new Allocation Plan
Step 1: Navigate to Setup > Allocation Plans
Step 2: Click New Allocation Plan
NOTE: Click on Default Allocation Plan to view current system settings.
Step 3: Create Allocation Plan Name
Step 4: Toggle On/Off Preliminary Allocation
-- ON: All reservations will be assigned to a specific unit upon booking.
-- OFF: A reservation is counted against the total units available, without being assigned to a specific unit. You have the flexibility to allocate at any time prior to check-in.
Step 5: Toggle On/Off Finalize Allocation
-- ON: All reservations are allocated and locked at the timeframe set (days or hours before check-in)
-- OFF: Allocations are not locked. You have the flexibility to finalize allocated units at any time prior to check-in.
NOTE:
- If Preliminary Allocation and Finalize Allocation are OFF, units will NOT be automatically allocated, they need to be manually assigned.
- You have the flexibility and the responsibility to assign units prior to check-in.
Step 6 (optional): Set Overallocation percentage
-- Allow a set percentage of extra bookings to be made as a buffer against cancellations.
NOTE: Overallocation can optimize occupancy while taking on the risk of overbooking. Using overallocation is a business decision for each customer to make.
Step 7: Click Save Allocation Plan
Set Plan as Default, Edit or Delete Plan
Step 1: On the plan line, Click the More Actions dropdown men, select:
-- Make Default
-- Edit Plan
-- Delete Plan
NOTE:
- Follow steps below to add Allocation Plan to a Unit-Type.
- If no Allocation Plan is assigned, the default plan remains in place.
Set Allocation Plan for Unit-Type
Step 1: Navigate to Properties > Unit-Type > [Unit-Type Name]
Step 2: Click Unit Allocation
Step 3: Select Allocation Plan from dropdown menu
Step 4: Click Save Changes
Create Custom Allocation Plan for Unit-Type
Follow Steps 1-2 above
Step 3: Toggle On/Off to use custom allocation plan for this listing
Step 4: Complete custom plan (see details for each option under Create New Allocation Plan)
Step 4: Click Save Changes
